Procurement Specialist – Indonesia/SEAsia+, B&I

Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for both direct and indirect categories to meet cost, quality, service, and compliance targets.
Align local procurement plans with global procurement directives and business objectives.
Ensure all procurement activities follow company policy, internal controls, and ethical standards.
Lead contract drafting, negotiation, and execution for key suppliers.
Ensure all contracts are compliant, up-to-date, and centrally managed, with risk mitigation and value optimization clauses.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through supplier evaluation.
Supervise and develop a team of 2 procurement/purchasing staff.
Delegate operational tasks while retaining oversight of strategic decisions and.
Lead or participate in cross-functional procurement-related projects such as supplier transitions, cost-saving initiatives, or process improvement.
Track project milestones, manage stakeholders, and report outcomes.
Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g. supply chain, production, marketing, finance, legal) to understand requirements and deliver procurement support.
Identify and deliver cost savings and value-adding opportunities.
Ensure procurement operations adhere to legal and internal compliance requirements.
Provide accurate reporting on procurement performance, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements:
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in procurement, with end-to-end category ownership across both direct and indirect spend.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation and management, including complex supplier agreements.
• Experience in people management, including supervising a small team or mentoring staff.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or support cross-functional procurement projects.
• Exposure to multinational or matrixed environments, with collaboration across global or regional functions
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, and supplier performance management.
• Solid understanding of cost structures, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with contract law, risk management, and compliance standards.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage complexity and prioritize in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
High level of integrity, accountability, and business acumen.
Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain (e.g. CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) are an advantage.
